Sanssouci was the summer palace of Friedrich the Great (1712–1786) in the city of Potsdam, and features a combination of Italian Baroque architecture and French gardening arts. The following morning, we headed southwest for Wartburg Castle in Thuringia State. From Berlin, we traveled to Sanssouci Palace in Brandenburg State and then stopped by Bernburg Castle in in SaxonyAnhalt, where we dined and stayed the night. I had the opportunity to visit some castles in Germany by car with two friends. Those castles and palaces are still evident all throughout Germany, where they are both historical witnesses where legends of the past are cherished as well as enticing architectural masterpieces for visitors to explore.
Rulers of their kingdoms spent huge deals of money and labor constructing colossal palaces, solid fortresses or radiant palaces to afford their richly coffered lives. Each kingdom was ruled and taxed by a clan. Like many European countries, before Germany was a unified state it was a feudal system of separate lands. Since globetrotters are fascinated by the local cultures when they travel to new places, we have woven inflight messages such as "how to safely stow carry-on luggage" or "turn off electronic devices" into an exciting context. It took a lot of effort and investment to create this video, with impressive scenes from the very first seconds, such as a gong dance like those performed by Central Highlands people around the fire at night. Cultural references up the creativity of our in-flight safety instructions, making them easier to understand and remember. While pre-departure flight safety instructions are vital for ensuring passengers' safety onboard, traditional instruction videos are often unappealing and even put passengers to sleep! For this reason, Phuong Vu (born in 1995), the video director of our 2022 flight safety video, took a fresh approach, weaving cultural elements into cinematic footage to create a "musical" that makes a strong impression. Modern remixes of folk music with EDM, world music, and folktronica influences, as well as youthful actors dressed in traditional attire, have transformed flight attendants' familiar gestures when giving flight safety instructions into unique dances distinctive to our local culture. Instead of being set inside an aircraft, it transports viewers to the vast mountains and forests that are home to many of Vietnam's ethnic minority groups. Like our previous video, this one uses dance moves to guide viewers. In just six minutes, this video is even better at conveying flight safety messages thanks to its expressive language and creativity. In August 2022, Heritage Magazine and Vietnam Airlines will release a new flight safety instructions video. The "new normal" began in 2022 as borders reopened for tourism, allowing travelers to discover new lands. For two years, as a result of social distancing and pandemic lockdowns, the phrase "Enjoy your flight!" was only a memory.
